| DAY 1: Veguitas Superior (3400 m) (5 h)
Reception at San Antonio refuge and check in. Guide’s introduction and talk on security and mountain basics. We depart towards northeast and pass through picturesque shelters and the old funicular. Then, we ascend through a glacial moraine until reaching Las Veguitas valley. Rest and lunch while we appreciate an impressive view of the main peaks of the Cordon del Plata. Back to base. Dinner and overnight stay at the refuge.
DAY 2: Arenales Mt. (3500 m) (5 h)
Breakfast. Departure towards northeast going up through the valley of the Blanco river, following a stream until arriving at the Quebrada del Estudiante (2900 m). Ascent through the gully to Lomas Blancas - Arenales pass (3300 m) then, we continue through the mountain ridge to get to the summit (3500 m) where we can enjoy en excellent view of the Cordon del Plata, the Potrerillos valley, and the Andean foothills. Lunch at the summit and descent to the base.
Services included: All transfers. a traveller's guide. Activities described above and bilingual professional guide. Two box lunches. One night accommodation at San Antonio Refuge, breakfast and dinner included. Personal accident insurance.
Services not included: Drinks, extra meals. Personal equipment (shoes, backpack, coat, etc.)
Recommended equipment: long pants, coat, trekking shoes, sun block, sunglasses, hat and small backpack. Physical Condition: normal.
Minimum age: 16 years
Dates: Every day. No minimum pax required.
