DAY 0: Meet with the Guide and Equipment Check (Mendoza)
Presentation of the guide, talk about the mountain and expedition itinerary details (hand-out of the bibliography). Medical form fill-out and equipment check.
DAY 1: Mt. Arenales (3,500 m)
Departure from Mendoza. Reception and check in at San Antonio Refuge (2,560 m). Departure to the northeast following a stream to arrive at the Quebrada del Estudiante, ascending to the Lomas Blancas - Arenales gap and from there by way of mountain ridge to summit. Lunch at summit. Return to San Antonio. Dinner and night's accommodation.
Length of Hike: 4 hrs. approx.
DAY 2: Piedra Grande Camp (3,500 m)
Breakfast. Preparation of equipment and loads. Lunch. Transfer in vehicle to Ski Center (2,900 m). Trekking to the Piedra Grande Camp (3,500 m). Camp set up, snack, dinner, and overnight.
Length of Hike: 3 hrs. approx.
DAY 3: El Salto Camp (4,200 m)
Breakfast. Ascent trek via a glacier moraine between Mt. Franke (4,900 m), Mt. Lomas Amarillas (5,100 m), Mt. Stepanek (4,100 m), and Mt. Adolfo Calle (4,200 m). Lunch on hike. Camp set up, snack, dinner, and overnight.
Length of Hike: 4 hrs. approx.
DAY 4: Rest at camp and trekking in the area.
DAY 5: Mt. Plata (first attempt at summit
Breakfast. Ascent to La Hoyada (4,550 m), then along the ridge Lomas Amarillas - Plata, and by an arid plain to the ridge Plata - Vallecitos (5,100 m). Following the west face ridge to the Plata Peak, we will arrive at the ridge which will take us to Mt. Plata (6,000 m). Lunch on hike. Descent to camp. Dinner and overnight.
Length of Hike: 7 hrs. approx.
DAY 6: Mt. Plata (second attempt at summit)
DAY 7: San Antonio – Mendoza.
Breakfast. Descent to San Antonio. Goodbye lunch at San Antonio. Return to the city of Mendoza (19:30 hrs approx).
Length of Hike: 6 hrs. approx.
Services included
All transfers. Professional mountain guide. (Assistant with three or more passengers.) Two lunches at San Antonio. One night's accommodation at San Antonio Refuge with dinner and breakfast. Meals and drinks on hikes and at camp. Five night's camp, double/triple tents. Complete camp equipment. Personal Accident Insurance. Permanent radio communication with the base.

Personal Equipment (for further details see Information for the Passenger that follows.). Drinks at San Antonio. Additional food and drinks. Expenses occurred for abandoning the expedition. Porters and/or cargo mules.
